capitolites focuses on the victors from each district and related Capitol-based characters as they prepare for the upcoming 72nd Hunger Games. our goal is to create a space for writers to explore the world of panem through ic social interaction, narratives, and collaborative writing, within a loose plot framework.

canon
this comm is canon-compliant up until the events of the hunger games trilogy. this means that events of the ballad of songbirds and snakes occurred in the recent past, coriolanus snow is currently in power, and the structure of the districts and capitol remain as they do before katniss's reaping — including the brewing rebellion from the secret district 13.

all canon victors and side characters from the books, however, do not exist in this gpsl so that members are free to create within the space.

state of play
instead of traditional sol intros there will be an opening plot post of the televised reaping, with victors and staff fresh off the trains to the capitol. we will then enter an active Hunger Games period where all characters are within the capitol, and where the mod team will create npcs and plot events for characters to interact with.
